The Nepali Society of Tasmania organised a successful workshop for Pathasala parents, led by intern Prasis Acharya, aimed at raising awareness about the crucial role of parental involvement in children’s learning, with a special focus on preserving Nepali language and culture.
The session covered how young children learn, the importance of parent engagement, and practical ways families can support learning at home. It emphasized building a strong home-school partnership where parents and teachers collaborate to nurture children’s development and cultural identity.
Parents were highly interactive throughout the workshop and expressed appreciation for the valuable insights gained. Many requested more such sessions in the future, reflecting the positive impact and demand for continued.
